IN5 Experium is the world’s first immersive multimedia journey into The Golden Temple and the Sikhi way of life. It aims to impart a sensorial, enlightening experience to the believer and non-believer alike. The show is a virtual visit to the experience of Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple).
A large scale virtual replica of the Golden temple was recreated along with a portable Museum in Brampton which showcased the essence of Sikhi , Canada. [2019]
The whole experience was divided into multiple installation zones. Each installation covered an aspect of Sikhi and aesthetics. My role was as the lead for the interactive zones of the experience. I deployed and maintained the installations On-site too.
Pre-Production
The Pre production phase involved , doing multitude of experiments with the design language. I worked closely with the designers and illustrators to create prototypes to bring their vision to life, We created mobile VR walkthroughs to test and share the experience with the different teams and Stake holders,
Sikhi Wall :
This gallery attempts to encapsulate the profound wisdom of Sikh Mantras in brevity. The motion sensor-based responsive wall was knowledge sharing zone, having information regarding Sikhism. The installation has constantly flowing golden orbs emitting from the center. When a user comes in close proximity of the wall. The orbs bloom into a golden flower styled text box. Each text box had different info based on position of the user.
Panj Wall :
Panj (five) holds a significant position in the Sikh psyche. This gallery celebrates just a few of them through interactive and immersive touch screen. A touch wall was developed using interactive projectors which could take input from the visitors through touching the areas on the projection. I implemented multiple designs in close coordination with creative director in order to get the most functional interactive design. Each module is touch info-graphics based.
Guru Wall :
Ten Divine personalities showing the founders of Sikhism. Through Interactive and immersive touch screen, We were able to showcase the values , institutions and Cities each guru help build. All the info was interactive and it was localized in two languages. English and Punjabi , which the user can choose.
Granth Interactive Manuscripts
A digital example version of manuscripts from the Guru Sahibji ( Holy Sikh Scriptures) was displayed with the help of Projector. The installation displayed the beautiful works of art that could be flipped by using an interactive table top. The installation also had daily sermons which were updated from the back end.
Main Sanctum
With over 9 installations and an overall 30 minute show brought the stunning experience of The Golden Temple to the venue. From video installations, projection mapping to interactive Sarovar ( Interactive Pond ), the place delivered an unimaginable experience. All the minor details and intricacies were 3D Scanned from the original temple.
I was in charge of the Interactive pond. We created Fish flocking AI behavior as soon as any user entered the water Space. The sensors on ceilings were mapped to the simulation. it generated ripples and attracted Fish flocks towards them.

Interactive Map Table
Displaying 11 institute identifications in the Harimandar Sahib Complex, map table was a 2D view of the holy place. We did multiple experiments with 2d art and infographics to generate the best balance.. A touch screen mounted on table displayed the map and upon touching would give further details of the complex. In addition to this , there were some other mini installations like a quiz game etc.
